I absolutely loved Patron Saints Of Nothing by Randy Ribay. I've been meaning to read this book for awhile and I'm so glad to have finally gotten around to reading it.  It's a great coming of age story, the narrator is engaging and portrays a teenager perfectly.  It's extremely up my alley with the international focus on the Philippines president, Rodrigo Duterte and his horrific war on drugs. Ribay adds a more personal look at the tragedies occuring in the Phillippines. I am hoping this book has opened the eyes of readers, informing many people who were unaware of the extrajudicial killings and forced disappearances occuring in this part of the world.
