I love the cover of this book. It is strong and artful. I actually had planned to buy it for the high school library where I work but I thought it was a graphic novel so I didn’t. Graphic novels don’t circulate where I work. Now that I see it is a novel I will likely buy it for the school. It is well written about half of the time. I felt like the sentences were trying to hard to be descriptive and in doing so became confusing. I personally won’t read beyond the first few lines because a puppy dies and I just can’t handle when animals or children are hurt. Especially as a Mother any child or new born animal just breaks my heart. Other than that I have heard very good things about this book and think it will be a good addition to the collection.
