I was excited to see this book on Bookish First, and I was even more excited when I won the raffle for it because I wanted to read this but unfortunately did not have enough points to claim it. I really enjoy books that incorporate Asian culture into the story. Ever since I read Memoirs of a Geisha, I find it fascinating, so of course, I was excited to see this book here. This book was so good! It was everything that I wanted it to be and more. I think this book presented an interesting dilemma, and it kept making me wonder what I would do in that situation. It was a classic case of do you do what is considered right even though it will affect your life in a negative way. Do you tell the truth and risk deportation, or do you keep your mouth closed even though it prohibits justice? You will have to read this to find out!
