The Patron Saints of Nothing is a book that I had heard great things about, so I couldn’t wait to check it out. The first preview wet my appetite but I will say that the excitement grinded to a halt as I progressed through the book. Critically I can see why this book is getting great reviews though. It has great social undertones and the subject matter is definitely relevant in today’s political climate. I just did find Jay to be a like able character. I didn’t hate him but I was definitely indifferent to him. It almost felt like investigating his cousins murder was a chore for him. The Parron Saints of Nothing would prob be worth a visit to the library but it is far from a literary classic.
