Own Voices + coming of age + family stories

I am so ready for this book to be out! First, I love that this is an 'own voices' book written by a Filipino-American about a boy who is getting ready to leave for college but needs to face some family history and coming of age that is directly related to his own identity as an Filipino-American. This book, especially with its emotionally charged premise has a lot to offer and already seems very well-written. The cover and the title are powerful and pack a punch, especially if you know anything about the idea of guilt and the struggle between it and identity. Love this one and can't wait for it to be released!
