I resonated with what I read. Being born in the US but having Hispanic roots, I totally see myself in jay. I’ve seen the injustices committed in my parents home countries and feeling that need to do something about it. Randy, through jay, captures that quandary people of color have when trying to voice their concerns or feelings in an environment that doesn’t understand them. Randy also really captures that frustrating attitude we Americans have of not really caring about atrocities that are happening in other countries because they don’t affect our daily lives. I am really happy I got to ready this snippet of this book because I’m definitely going to read it when it comes out.
