When I read the blurb about this book I was intrigued, but not exactly hooked. I hate reading speculative fiction around WWII, we have WAY too much information to needlessly speculate. However, I read the first look, and now need to absorb as much of this book as possible. The history, the research, the utter care about the subject matter comes across wonderfully. This book is more than a Grandson writing about his grandmother, it's about him learning about her as well.
