Historical fiction from Europe in the '30s - be still my heart

Exactly the type of book that gets my attention. I'm not sure how accurate, or perhaps even true, the story is but it has intrigue in the first page. I love the different perspectives and it's not the typical World War II story. For once, it's in Italy and opens in England.

I'm curious for more.
