This was an interesting murder mystery! I really enjoyed the addition of history into the story, as I am an avid history lover, and it really put the novel on a different mystery shelf, in my opinion. Of course, as the ever loving romantic, I was deeply sad that Aleena and Tully didn't work out, but I also can understand how the trauma affected her so deeply. I also enjoyed the double case perspective in the book, and how Tully ended up being able to resolve both. I also loved the relationship development of Tully and Morales as partners. I was deeply saddened by how Tully's parents treated him in regards to his career choice (I can relate by my own parents in that aspect), though I do understand why they would be worried for him. Overall, an interesting and new way to write a mystery novel!
