The description in the beginning of the excerpt is solid; I can really see the things the author wants, like the coyote and it’s actions, as well as the body. I also like the dialogue, which gave me a complete impression about many of the characters. I like Jarsdel and his opinions about victories and what gives them staying power. And of course I want to know why the individual was murdered!
