The cover is nice. It throws me off a little that the city is sideways, though. I'm a SoCal native and I was very overwhelmed by all the LA name-dropping. This would be a good book for someone not familiar with Los Angeles. Other than that, the story seems okay. A burned body and an academic professor out to prove himself.
