This isn't the type of book I normally read, so I didn't expect to like it. I'll admit, the writing pulled me in quickly and the descriptions were vivid without overdoing it. It was like watching a horrifying scene where your hands instinctually cover your eyes but you can't stop from peeking through your fingers.
