I liked how it opens on the discovery of the body and then introduces the protagonist. Tully Jarsdel is apart from those he works with in that he has a PhD and therefore brings something different to the investigation. I really liked that from the interaction between the coroner and Jarsdel you see why this body is unique; it makes you intrigued and anxious to read on.
