I love crime novels, especially those set in a place like LA, with all of the glitz and glamour, but with a dark underbelly where evil lurks. I especially love a crime novel where there is a puzzle to piece together, of course, and the main characters are interesting enough to keep me reading. Tully and Morales seem like the kind of guys a reader can invest in and care about, and I'm anxious to see what kind of intensity they bring to this story. The story is sure to be a grotesque and cringe-worthy one, which is something crime junkies like me will devour.
