Detective Jarsdel has a partner who doesn’t like him. He has a case that’s presented as a sure fire “loser”. A burned body. No ID, no witnesses. The writing is beautiful for a detective book. The descriptions are detailed and poetic. Only two chapters in but I’d like to read more!
