First of all, I love the cover and unusual title. I also love historical settings. What I wasn't expecting was the mystery that evolves. This aspect gives the story so much depth - and what a great surprise. I connected with Olive and loved her progression throughout the story. She shows so much growth and unique qualities, and is a memorable character.
One thing that often drives me crazy when a story involves a romance is when the relationship progresses too quickly or unrealistically. (Insta-love) But this one is believable and slowly burns throughout, keeping my interest without eye-rolls. I can't wait to read about this pair in future books.
