I have never seen or heard of a book that covered this subject matter. A pigeoneer? How cool. I knew next to nothing about pigeons prior to picking this book up. (I pretty much knew that there were homing pigeons and messenger pigeons, but that's it.)
Using the pigeons as a means to help spy on the enemy? Amazing. What a cool idea. I'm honestly surprised that it took this long for a book to actually cover this perspective.
One of the reasons for my three star rating is while I liked the book, I did struggle with finishing it. I'm going to go back and revisit it in six months. It may have been due to the fact that personally I had a lot of different stuff going on that needed my attention, and I did not give this book the attention it needed.
