I loved this WWII era story based on real people and events

I loved this story of a young woman who pushed her way into supplying pigeons for the Uk's war effort. The twist and turns and budding romance along with a mystery or two keep my attention and left me wanting and series of books featuring Olive's adventures and those of her pigeons and friends. I loved the people and events were based on real places, events and people during WWII. So much of the history is being lost with our veterans dying off and young people need to read and know what people went though. Many of the day to day struggles and shortages are briefly mentioned and the ways that people made due or did without are mentioned as well. Any one who has a difficult family member, disabled family member, has headstrong children or is a animal lover will enjoy this book. All in all and entertaining enjoyable book based in fact. I recommend.
