I admit I rarely read books that are based in a historical time period. That being said, I want a second Olive Bright book! I love her spunk, whit, take charge attitude & how she does the opposite of what most would do. She is a strong woman who anyone should want to know. She takes on hiding things from her family & making up a false relationship with a man she can’t stand. Honestly love to see them end up together in another novel. She also took the time to figure out who murdered one of what I will call the biggest busybody in the town. The secrets she uncovers about some of this closest to her will break your heart, yet leave you knowing that Olive will still love them no matter what. The pigeons have such a key role in the war & you see her carry that out but only a bit. I love all the names of them too, gives you a great idea on what to name your next family pet. I would love to hear more about Jonathan in another book too. Him & Olive make a great team. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery & really do hope for more Olive Bright novels!
