Another great historical read, about something I had no idea happened.

I greatly enjoyed reading this novel and learned a lot about pigeons and how they helped during the war. This was another great female role within the war that no one took seriously and she had to fight to prove herself and her idea and yet had to keep that secret. I also like that the author threw a bit of murder into this storyline to mix things up a bit considering they were not living in the midst of the war but it was raging in Europe and so being a little removed I don't think she quite understood the scope of it all. She was just struggling since her friend had enlisted and left and wanted to do what she could to help assist in the war from her front yet she was loyal to her father's veterinary clinic. She then gets herself a little in over her head but she feels like she is finally doing something and likes that she herself is living in the moment instead of always in her books and maybe, just payment her pigeons can make a difference. This was a little more light hearted read on WWII and I enjoyed Olive's story.
