Historical Fiction & A Spunky Heroine

I never pick up historical fiction on my own but when I end up reading it I always enjoy it and this story was no different. I loved Olive, who seems so spunky and independent--she seems like a great strong, female character. I also liked the writing style which was easy to read and had a great flow.
