Good for a genre I don’t typically read

I don’t normally read historical fiction, but I was really impressed by the first two chapters provided by this book. I like that there are a lot of interesting female characters so far and am especially intrigued by Violet. Also, writing about people who keep pigeons is very unique and I haven’t seen that before.
