I love Olive's character and personality. She is challenging the demure female standards that the government, her family, and everyone around her expects from girls. I agree with Olive: the more someone demeans and undermines a girl's role, power, and capabilities, the more competitive and determined I get to prove them wrong. I really hope Olive gets the chance to participate and be proactive about the war. The first couple of chapters were full of background information, character explanations and long descriptions that didn't move the story forward. I would've liked more action and more story points to keep me interested.
