Where do I start with this. From the very beginning of the story with Olive and George. I'll admit at first I thought that George was a brother, but he's her best friend. Right from the start I love the relationship between Olive and George. The innocence. I love that she is giving him a pigeon to take with him so that they can stay in touch. This is setting up the whole tone of the book. I already like Olive. I like her imagination and her determination. She never for one second thinks that George won't take the Pigeon and I love that confidence about her.
