I really like the cover of this book, it tells me right away that this is a story about a young woman during the war. The writing is very descriptive and does a great job of expressing the feelings and emotions of Olive. I very much enjoy historical fiction and this is a rather interesting story as I have not come across many that delve into the world of pigeon carriers. I also love a good mystery and that additional element makes this book quite different than others in the same genre. I am looking forward to learning more about these carrier pigeons who delivered messages during the war.
