I'm not entirely sure what a classic village mystery is, but my mind went straight to Three Pine and Louise Penney when I read that. I can tell this also has a historical element to it, and I'm quite intrigued to learn more. This looks like it could be a promising book and even more so if it is done well and is the beginning of a series.
