DNF at 25% - I was excited to read this one after looking at some promising reviews, but in the end I didn't care for the heroine and story direction. As the story opens, the heroine appears as a grateful and sweet, upcoming actress on the precipice of big changes in her career. The next chapter is a few months later after her career has crashed and burned due to a viral leak of misconstrued information by her jealous "best" friend. Searching for ways to jump start her career again, she attempt to her accompany her veteran actress grandmother to an awards ceremony in her honor. This is where the story nose-dived for me. The sweet actress in the first chapter suddenly becomes judgmental, accusing, and rude to someone in her grandmother's life. I can see that we are probably going to witness character growth and change, but it was too much of a shift from the first chapter and I can't blame her circumstances. It was plainly rude judgement and I didn't want to read her story any longer.
