Firstly, I read very little YA, so this type of story isn't something that attracts me. Secondly, the cover doesn't draw me in either. I'm not a huge fan of animated cover art. And thirdly, opening with the article felt like a background dump, causing me to skim and not get sucked in. Overall the writing is crisp, but there isn't anything that truly draws me in.
