This novel mixes old time 'Sunset Boulevard' type stories with backstabbing modern starlets. Of course, as one starts to enjoy the success of recent acting-school graduate Evie, there can't help but be a sense that Evie's uber-famous grandmother Evelyn might have helped bring attention to Evie. Sadly, competing starlets are out to ruin Evie before she has a chance to prove herself and a so-called friend's well staged cell phone video is the setup that seems to do the trick. This book promises to be a lot of fun with a great deal of realistic movie-making, Hollywood publicity stunt action. I thoroughly enjoyed the preview chapters and have my fingers crossed that I have a chance to finish reading this as an ARC.
