The baseline of this story is great; famous grandparent goes missing, personal career and dreams at stake, etc. The issue I have is that there is NO need for a love story in a narrative like this. It seems forced at best and just plain unnecessary. I think I would have loved this story of personal growth and development if it skipped the romance plotline but instead, the story seems to get more and more focused on the romance and less focused on the grandmother and the protagonists desires as an actress the further in the story I read...
