Drusilla and Eva sound like they're the opposite of what those in the ton would prefer and it is precisely for that very reason why I like them already. They're not all caught up in worrying about the societal norms and instead just go through the motion of attending the insufferable mating dances otherwise known as Regency era balls.
Enter Gabriel, Eva's stepbrother, and things become even more interesting. There are so many snarky sparks between Dru and Gabriel that there's bound to be some major steam between them in the near future. While it doesn't appear that either of them sense it yet, that level of verbal tension is clearly wrought with an underlying physical tension as well. Dru may think it's one sided but something tells me it's not! I can't help but wonder how Eva is going to feel about her dearest friend inevitably ending up with her stepbrother!
