Well, to be perfectly honest I did not love this book. This book took me much longer to read than it does most books I read. I truly just could not get into this book. I felt there could have been much more character development. I think that the love story was interesting, but Drusilla really did fight everything. That part was very refreshing honestly. I do not think this is a bad book by any means, I just think this wasn't my style of book which is why I struggled so much to get through it. You live and you learn. I believe young girls and women will love this book though because it gives a different take on a female attitude during a time when being so bold and out-spoken for a woman was not okay. Drusilla reminds you of a modern day world, she is just so ahead of her time and is so alone in those beliefs. If only Drusilla could live today! Overall the writing was beautiful and really gave you the best description of your surroundings in the book.
