The people of the Ton are so fun to read about! It has historical romance, diversity, action, fun plot twists, and of course, witty banter. I grew to love each of the characters with there little quirks.

Drusilla Clare is opinionated and caring of those in her world. She donates to charities and has a different past then most. Her crazy beautiful best friend, Eva, is very sneaky and smart when she wants to be and is very underestimate as well as her relationship with Byer.

The man of the book is Gabriel Marlington who not only is North African, DIVERSITY, and compliments Drusilla to let her carry on with her work. He understands her wanting to be independent and not be controlled by a man. His complex past with his country and his mistresses add to the story in a totally different way than expected. As well as, supporting LGBTQ+ in such a time period and loving them for it makes this historical romance different from others.

This book has lots of spice which makes sense considering the characters, there past, and the plot. The only thing I wish was different was Drusilla's lack of strength in the middle of the book. She starts out so strong but soon looses her strength that made her so fun to read about. With three more books to come in the series I’m hoping Drusilla's character grows with Eva and Byers relationship(which I’m rooting for!).
