Usually I am not one for historical romance but Drusilla Clare was an interesting character from page one. She is a woman that you love from page one as she stands up for what she believes in and tries to be a good person. When you learn that she in love with Gabriel you want to follow along and see her their story unfolds.
This story had the perfect balance of drama and sweetness without going overboard. The reader is given sweet moments, sensual moments, and even drama filled ones. It makes you want to keep reading on instead of stopping halfway through or such.
Gabriel is also such an interesting character and learning his background is a very intriguing part of the book for me. I believe it is a great thing that the characters are diverse and unique in all their own ways and he adds to that to a great degree.
Overall, this was a great book that told a great story and I can't wait till the next book comes out cause I will certainly be one to get it.
