How did I just find out that this is only the first book in a series??

That aside, I absolutely adore Regency-set historical romance novels. So I was absolutely surprised that I haven't yet read any of Minerva Spencer's books! Until now, that is. I love that Drusilla Clare is a wallflower because of her attitude. (I wish I could see her living in the 21st century and see what she has to say about life now!) Needless to say, with her attitude, it's not surprising why her sassiness turns others away. (I think since sassiness is definitely more appreciated today, Drusilla is an incredibly relatable character). This story was one of a marriage of convenience (which I am definitely seeing more of nowadays, especially in romance novels).

While many say this book is sexy, I do think there are periods of adorable-ness (that I actually squealed). I still do agree that this is a sexy romance that will not make you bored. I just discovered that Gabriel's mother is the protagonist for another book, Dangerous, so ta ta, I'm off to read that next!
