My first impression of this book color was how it reminded me of the area in which women were to follow strict social etiquette rules. However, the more I looked into the description I started noticing that it is a sort of feminist character that goes against the social behavioral rule. In regards of the design of the cover itself, I find it amusing how the designer decided to use a silhouette with flowers in the top that matches with the background, the pink background. It’s a very feminine and clever way, of showing how the character goes against the stereotypes of femininity and social dilemma of how women were meant to serve men. The choosing of type faces are very complementary to the overall theme. I Truly like how the cover is very illustrative of the topic, very majestic. I am excited to read more about these relationship between the characters Gabriel and Drusilla. Particularly because of the era, and because it also reminds me a lot of pride and prejudice, specially because of the relationship between Mr. Darcy and Lizzie Bennett.
