I'm already excited for the sequel...
The cover for Notorious is lovely, and something I don't feel like I've seen much in Regency romances. (And I read a LOT of Regency romances!) It did make me wonder if this would be a true genre romance or skirting the line between genre romance and "chick lit," but the opening chapters have me hopeful for a true genre romance.
I am really looking forward to reading about Drusilla and Gabriel, but I'm not going to lie it's Eva who caught my attention first. The blurb says this is the first in a series and I'm hoping Eva will be the heroine of her next book. We stan a klutzy leading lady! The banter and tension between Drusilla and Gabriel is delicious. I also really like that we get chapters from both of their points of view - you get so much more depth to the characters when you get both points of view.
I read a lot of Regency/historical romance and am always excited to find an author that's new to me, and I can't wait to read this (and more) by Minerva Spencer!
