Historical fiction + romance. That's *very nearly* my favorite genre combination. Plus a witty, sharp tongued female lead? Yes please. I wasn't sure for the first couple pages or so. The writing felt stilted and rather flat, but after a minute I adjusted and realized how much fun the characters were. Definitely intrigued.
