This novel was billed as a feminist romance. The First Look was obviously just a short piece of the book and seemed to indicate a duel was in the offing. Dru and her friend Eva are chilling in a conservatory during a ball because they need some peace and quiet. Eva walks away and Dru is nearly assaulted by a drunk lord. Eva’s brother Gabriel comes to Dru’s rescue and beats on the lord. As all hell breaks loose, the FL ends.
