This book seems to appeal to a certain kind of masculinity - self-help wrapped up in supposedly high stakes war stories. Meh. The focus of the three main sections - pursuit of excellence, agility, and meaning - are typical self-help fare, and the excerpt was too heavy on war stories. Not sure that orientation is the kind of leadership we need more of today, especially in non-war settings.
