It seems like the author has a lot of stories to tell which can be used as life lessons. I am not a huge fan of self help books although I have many. I generally shy away from the ones that are written as "look how awesome I am and you should do things like I did". However, my husband is in the military (enlisted in the Navy and now an officer in the Army) so I do enjoy a book that provides some firsthand knowledge of the military. I am interested to see how the author takes his experiences and used them to try to help others.
