Hayes is incredibly personable and it is evident from just the first few pages that he has tons of great anecdotes to share. While I don't always love reading memoirs and biographies, Hayes has a very engaging writing style. He also manages to talk about big themes that are relevant to everyone while still weaving in his own real experiences. I enjoyed this excerpt more than I expected to and would definitely be interested in reading more.
