Do the hard thing
Never Enough is a non-fiction memoir about the ways you can mentally prepare to be a good leader and person. While I enjoyed the FL, I will say that I was fairly iffy on the statement about women (“hey, I don’t talk about women bc SEALs are mostly men but thanks for the comms help, ladies!”) and didn’t see anything acknowledging how doing the hard thing is infinitely harder and more dangerous when you’re a POC. Good book and maybe these points are addressed later in the book. I think adversity does teach us but it’s easier to say that when you’re a privileged white person. I’m sure the book has very useful lessons but it didn’t seem to be very mindful of this current moment.
