I highly enjoyed reading this unique take on a fairytale. I fell in love with the main character Filomena - a book loving girl who was lucky enough to have her favorite fairy tale come to life with her as a character in it! This book had a little bit of everything to keep you engaged and reading until the end. Humor, action, fantasy, fairy tale - can't ask for much more to be added in a book. I think this is a great read for middle school aged children as well as the young at heart that still like to read about wonderful fairy tales and live vicariously through such a well written character as Filomena. The beautiful colors and the cover art work on this book were stunning and I think it would definitely grab the attention of someone passing by it on a bookstore shelf. I am so excited to see what the next fairy tale adventure from Melissa de la Cruz will be!!!
