I liked this retelling of a story I enjoyed as a kid and watched the movies too. You can’t go wrong (in my opinion) with fairies, evil step mothers (?), and other fantasy characters. And this tale has got the lot of them. I honestly from the beginning was like whatever happened the father and stepmom did it and then how they treated that poor baby letting her cry all that time ignoring her. Until the Aunt came then it’s give me my child if you go sit down this my blood relative, my niece for crying out loud. She had more restraint than me cause I’d have taken my niece away. Let them make their own kid. Then it’s what happened to the lost fairy everyone is just ignoring that particular bit. The sister fairies in there like it’s no one’s business partying it up and the only one asking questions is this girl on the side. Like is everyone brain damaged? I need to finish this book and see what else happens. I have to get me a copy as soon as it comes out.
