I’m always cautious of retellings or stories that feel like we already know them. I have read a few of Melissa books and her writing is okay! But the cover of this book and the first impression made me interested! I hope that the villains of the story get a deeper look at. And that Filomena stays a strong character throughout the whole book. I would be happy to read through this whole book and give a review for it. Fairytales can be hard to read and sometimes they feel very young while reading but so far the first impression didn’t feel like that to me. Feels like an adventure book where all the main people go on a quest to save the world. And I think that is an interesting plot for this story. I think the cover is beautiful and very eye catching. I would pick this up on the shelf in a bookstore. I’ll be interested to see what happens in the rest of the story!
