I read this book in one day and not for the reasons you think. I wanted it to end fast. There was nothing wrong with Never After but I think I have officially outgrown middle-grade books. I loved Melissa de la Cruz when I was younger especially her Isle of the Lost series based on the descendant's movie. I was obsessed with it when I was younger. But I guess these types of books are no longer for me. It was a very cute and magical book. I really do wish I was eleven again because then this would have ended up one of my favorite books of all time. That does not mean you should not pick this book up. Just because it was not my cup of tea does not mean it is not for you. I would definitely recommend Never After to any reader between the ages eleven and fourteen. If you have kids between those ages and you want to get them into reading then pick this book up for them at the bookstore.
