First of all the cover of this book is stunning and I looked at the rest of the series after reading the preview and the second book cover is also breathtaking. The writing is very descriptive and very easy to understand and follow. This book seems like it will have a lot of themes relating to family or found family. The prologue gave some very important world building information and I think that this book will be very enjoyable, especially for middle school aged children like Filomena.

12 year old Filomena Jefferson-Cho was having one of the worst days of her life (or so it seemed to any 12 year old). Nothing was going he way and the only thing that was getting her through the day was knowing the 13th book of the Never After series which she was a die hard fan of was being published today! However, when she got to the bookstore she was disappointed to find out that the book wasn’t going to be published and that it was left off on a cliff hanger. Filomena heads home and is sensed she is being followed but like Filomena I was also left on a cliffhanger of what was happening.
