This book starts with a story about a stolen princess. I was super compelled by that part and definitely wanted to know more about that story. Then the narrative switches to Filomena's story. To be fair I've not read any of the Never After books, so I should have know that maybe they're all written in 3rd person present. My brain has a very hard time with that tense, and it's almost impossible for me to read it. Maybe I could handle an audiobook, but not a paper book, so I don't think this is for me.
