Melissa de la Cruz is a bit of a hidden genius when it comes to writing these fantastical faraway stories. I adored her Disney's Descendants series featuring Maleficent's daughter, Evil Queen's daughter, and son of Jafar. It was a wonderful series, and if this is even HALF as good as that, I'd be super happy!
